Vampires, witches and werewolves, oh my! The Vampire Diaries’ 2009 premiere introduced fans to one of the most memorable vampire-themed series to date.

The CW show, which ran for eight seasons until 2017, took place in the fictional town of Mystic Falls, Virginia, home to mythical creatures and humans alike.  In addition to tales of people becoming vampires, or finding out they have powers — which was the case with Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) — the series brought to life one of the most memorable TV love triangles.

After teenager Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) fell for vampire Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and later his bad boy brother, Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder), fans were forced to decide which of the two heartthrobs they’d want to romance. Although Elena did choose one over the other by season 8, many of the show’s fanbase are divided between Team Stefan and Team Damon.

“The recipe for a love triangle is as old as the recipe for gingersnap cookies, but the ingredients, it’s something that you can’t control, which is chemistry,” creator Julie Plec told E! News after the show’s 2017 finale.

“So, as a writer, you can create as much as you want, but when it all comes down to it, you need the three parts of the love triangle to work.” Luckily, the leading trio had the right mix of chemistry as lovers, brothers and friends.

“Ian and Nina had chemistry as the bad boy and the good girl, and the hero/heroine chemistry between Paul and Nina was just so beautiful, so that worked, and you can’t force that, and you can’t write that on the page,” she added. “It just has to exist.”

Offscreen, the cast — which also included Candice Accola, Michael Trevino, Joseph Morgan and many more — formed a lifelong bond, which has remained strong partially due to a group text.

“I talk to them all of the time,” Graham exclusively told Us Weekly in December 2017. “I talk to Michael Malarkey a lot. Nina and I text a lot. So yeah, I have a good relationship with them.” The Cut Throat City actress noted that after nearly a decade together, the former costars have each other’s backs.

“We have a lot of support for each other,” she explained. “A lot of us are entering this new chapter and it’s important that everyone really supports each other especially right now.”

Where do you take a series when you’re 10 films in and you’ve already driven a car into space? The mad beauty of the Fast franchise is that it can pretty much go anywhere, even when it’s been everywhere.

If we can believe it though, the supercar saga is finally running out of road, with this the first of a mammoth two-part finale. It only takes a few minutes for the action to rev up. Within a few scenes we’re watching a plot to blow up The Pope with a giant comedy bomb that rolls through Rome like a boulder.

Throw in a gold Lamborghini that’s so shiny it blinds people; a pop-up glider that’s powered by whiskey miniatures; and a scene where Pete Davidson feeds Sung Kang an acid-laced muffin, and we’re firmly back where we left off last time when everyone flew back from the moon in time for a BBQ.

You can still play a dangerous drinking game by taking a shot every time Vin Diesel says “it’s all about family” (It’s not, of course, it’s all about cars), but the plot this time really does manage to involve everyone’s brother, mother and long-lost uncle.

Opening with a flashback to the best bit of the best film in the franchise so far, we watch the Rio heist from 2011’s Fast Five from a different angle – this time seeing that dastardly baddie Hernan Reyes also had a dastardly son called Dante (Jason Momoa).

Spending 10 years plotting vengeance on the Fast family for stealing his dad’s money, Dante now buys an army of tanks, sports cars and military jets to try and blow everyone up in beautiful locations.

The last film topped up the cast list with John Cena, Puerto Rican rapper Ozuna and Cardi B. This time we also get Momoa, Rita Moreno, Daniela Melchior and Brie Larson.

And that’s on top of the massive roster of big names that are already part of the family – including some that have technically died already (who’s counting?). The credits alone go some way to explain how this is one of the most expensive films ever made, but throw in a few hundred exploding cars and $340million seems like a steal.

Director Louis Leterrier (The Transporter, Now You See Me) replaces Justin Lin behind the wheel without letting up on the pedal, but the real draw here is Momoa. Looking like he’s having more fun than anyone ever has at their job,

Momoa’s evil peacock is the best thing in the series so far – singing and dancing his way through all the cartoon mayhem in a pair of pink hair ribbons. The franchise has always been deeply homoerotic, but it’s never been this openly, joyfully camp – adding the one extra sundae topping that no one even knew they were missing.

When Momoa isn’t on screen and stuff isn’t exploding, the daft dialogue almost sinks the film into parody. Sure, no one’s ever watched a Fast film for the talking, but so much time spent between set-pieces means we only really get half of a film a here – the big final cliffhanger stopping just as it’s getting going.

One last-minute cameo makes no sense, and is hilarious, followed by a mid-credit cameo that makes plenty of sense and is even funnier – lining up a 2025 encore to sink all encores. Has Fast 11 got anywhere left to go? Of course not. But that’s not going to stop it flooring it all the way there anyway.

Blake Shelton has finally exited The Voice after featuring on the singing reality show as a coach for 23 seasons. While fans are heartbroken over his retirement, Blake received a sweet surprise from his wife and former Voice coach Gwen Stefani on the show today.

While Gwen could not be present in person, she did record a message for the country singer, which aired during the episode. Read on to know more about Gwen’s heartfelt tribute to the God's Country singer.

Gwen Stefani’s heartfelt tribute to Blake Shelton

Gwen’s pre-recorded video message aired during the episode and was also shared on her Instagram space. The video clip also featured some sweet moments of Blake and Gwen together from the earlier seasons of The Voice.

In the video, Gwen Stefani, 53, can be heard saying that when they met on the sets of the singing competition, both of their lives were going through a difficult time, referring to their respective divorces.

“Who would have thought that this Orange County girl and this country guy from Oklahoma would find each other on the set of The Voice. When I first came on the show, our lives were having this parallel destruction happening, and then next thing you know, Blake and I start becoming besties, and falling in love.”

An emotional and teary-eyed Gwen shared what it means for her to find her soulmate and said that it’s difficult for her to talk about the same without tearing up. Concluding her love-filled tribute, Gwen said, “The Voice is gonna go on, but Blake’s legacy will be there forever.”

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s relationship

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton dated for five years before the latter singer popped the question in October 2020. On July 3, 2021, they tied the knot in a small ceremony, which was officiated by The Voice host, Carson Daly.

The couple currently splits their time between their LA home and their Oklahoma ranch with Stefani’s sons Kingston, Zuma and, Apollo whom she shares with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

Ted Lasso chief Bill Lawrence has a pretty broad and varied body of work, but one of the key consistencies across it is his love (and use) of popular music.

Almost every episode of Scrubs ended with some indie rock playing, and Cougar Town actually named all of its episodes after Tom Petty songs.

So maybe it's no surprise that in "So Long, Farewell," the season 3 finale of Ted Lasso, there's a pretty meaningful needle drop in the final moments. What's arguably a little more surprising is that the song used has ties to the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.

Even with over 150 episodes of Scrubs, Lawrence couldn't lay claim to being more closely associated with pop music soundtracks than James Gunn, so maybe it stands to reason that they would both make some similar choices.

In any case, as the episode wraps up and most of the characters get their final ride into the sunset, "Father and Son" by Yusuf/Cat Stevens plays -- the same song used to drive home an emotional point at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2.

Stevens, who later changed his name to Yusuf Islam but continues to use both names interchangeably in his professional life, first wrote "Father and Son" for an abandoned musical starring Nigel Hawthorne, which would have been set during the Russian revolution.

The song centers on a boy who wanted to join the revolution, which puts a strain on his relationship with his father, who is a conservative farmer. While the musical itself never happened, "Father and Son" is right up there with Harry Chapin's "Cat's in the Cradle" and Bruce Springsteen's "My Father's House," in terms of tear-jerking songs about tortured father-son relationships.

The cast and crew of Ted Lasso have long presented a three-season plan for the series, suggesting that today's episode marks "the end" -- if not of Ted Lasso, then at least of the story that the creators first set out to tell with the characters.

The question of a fourth season has been hanging over the whole third season of the show, with star and producer Jason Sudeikis giving some pretty noncommittal answers along the way.

By the end of the episode, ome characters are more cleanly resolved than others, with Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) rebooting her love life and Keeley (Juno Temple) getting her PR film back up and running with Barbara (Katy Wix).

Still, two of those three characters laid the groundwork for a potential spinoff in the final moments of the show, with Keeley pitching Rebecca on the idea of a women's team for AFC Richmond.

Rebecca seems fairly open to the idea, which suggests an open door to follow up on the world of Ted Lasso without having to undo anyone's happy ending in order to do so. A women's team would let Rebecca and Keeley continue their stories -- which ended on new

beginnings rather than totally clean endings -- while presumably allowing space for other fan-favorite characters to duck in and out of the series as scheduling permits. You can see all three seasons of Ted Lasso now on Apple TV+.

Katy Perry is the ultimate hypewoman for fiancé Orlando Bloom.

The “Never Really Over” singer showed support for her man on her Instagram Story Saturday, sharing a supportive message alongside a shirtless video of the Carnival Row actor. “YAAAssss nooo shirt hawwwt diggityyyy dawg @orlandobloom,” she wrote, resharing a video posted by the consulting agency laChambre.

Bloom, 46, was rocking a Santoni suit while in France to attend the Cannes Film Festival in support of his new movie Gran Turismo. He and Perry, 38, got engaged in February 2019, and welcomed daughter Daisy Dove in August 2020.

In April, Perry shared an Instagram photo of the happy couple, and in the caption, shared some insight into their relationship aspirations. "Orlando and I's initials are O.K. We continuously put in the work to make sure they aren't K.O.," she wrote.

She continued: “Find yourself a partner that will go down to the mat with you and get back up every time. I love you my fighter.”

In response, Bloom wrote in the comment section: "I love you and our love  bombs wouldn't have it any other way " The actor opened up to PEOPLE in March about how he is his fiancée’s “biggest fan,” and how he supports the work she does as a judge on American Idol.

"I think we support each other because we are fans of one another, you know what I mean?" he said. "What she does is so empowering for young musicians with everything with Idol. Then she can go and put on a powerhouse show in Vegas.

We support, it's who we are. Katy's a force and we both have these pools we swim in and we recognize each other's pools and we go, 'Hey, I'm over here. We're doing this.' And it's great." Perry, meanwhile told PEOPLE last year that their daughter is “a combination” of both her and Bloom.

“We are fearless with lots of chutzpah and just big characters,” she said. “So the combination of us both is definitely coming out. It’s amazing to see everything new again through a toddler’s eyes.”

The Godskin Noble makes several appearances over the course of Elden Ring, and this might be their most abrupt ending for this gamer's playthrough. Cheesing bosses is a storied tradition in FromSoft titles, but this bridge-side topple could prove difficult to replicate in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring has been out for over a year now, accruing countless accolades and superlatives, including 2022's Game Awards Game of the Year. Fans are hotly anticipating the previously announced Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, that,

if the studio's previous paid expansions are anything to go off of, should bolster the game substantially. Elden Ring is FromSoft's most ambitious title to date, and many expect its forthcoming DLC to be similarly groundbreaking.

Reddit user mfkopp showed off their recent encounter with Elden Ring's Godskin Noble boss, which guards the Tower of Liurnia. Patrolling a wide stonework bridge towering over the depths of The Lands Between, the boss's opening move is to tuck into an asymmetric ball and roll violently toward the player as they venture across the bridge.

Riding atop Torrent, mfkopp does a quick U-turn as Godskin Noble presses the attack, then finds a raised platform at the perimeter of the bridge and leaps over the boss as they roll onward. Godskin Noble attempts to divert course but has a wider-than-anticipated turn radius, peeling to the right and finding themselves outside the surface area of the bridge.

The boss plummets to their untimely death, their runes and wardrobe transferred to mfkopp's inventory Since the original release of Demon's Souls in 2009, gamers have been finding creative and occasionally hilarious ways to cheese the bosses in FromSoft titles.

Given a vast array of utility and weaponry to conquer the countless brutally difficult bosses designed over the studio's tenure, players have endlessly tested the boundaries of its game's mechanics for shortcuts to victory. Though there are many flavors of boss cheeses demonstrated over the years, the most common appears to involve a boss plummeting to their death from a great height.

Video's like mfkopp's are a testament to the staying power of Elden Ring, with new strategies for defeating the game's many bosses still cropping up over a year from its release. FromSoft really outdid itself with The Lands Between, with such scale and ingenuity that fans will undoubtedly be discovering exciting new ways to best its varied and imposing challenges for years to come.

With summer officially here thanks to that long weekend we were all blessed with, it's only appropriate that Blake Lively welcomed the season with a sizzling, spicy (her word, not ours necessarily) photo of her husband, Ryan Reynolds.

Over the weekend, Lively ushered in tank-top weather with a snapshot of Reynolds with his biceps on full display, writing, "Summer in New York makes me sorry for the way I treated winter in New York."

She embellished the photo with several stickers, including a pepper, bottles of Sriracha, and a "caution: extra spicy" gif, though none of them distracted from Reynolds's arms.

Last year, Reynolds announced that he'd be reprising his role as Deadpool in the franchise's third installment, so the snap could be a preview of him getting into superhero form again. E! News reports that he's already been in contact with his trainer, Don Saladino, continuing their long and storied relationship.

"I've been working with Ryan for over a decade," the trainer, who also works with Lively, told Esquire in 2021. "Every movie he got ready for I prepped him for. He's an incredible human being. He's very talented, athletic, and humble. I can't take full credit because he has such a drive.

It's not the first time that Lively's shown some well-deserved appreciation for Ryan's arms. In July 2021, she wrote, "Are we supposed to believe this isn’t a post about your fine ass arms?" on one of his posts, keeping in line with the couple's habit of trolling each other via social media.

"Snapping turtle: pick a worse place to chill," Reynolds wrote alongside the Story at the time, which showed a turtle under his car. The couple married back in 2012 and have three daughters James, 8; Inez, 6; and Betty, 3. They also have a fourth child that they secretly welcomed earlier this year and they haven't revealed the new addition's name just yet.

Jada Pinkett Smith has been making headlines to date for the thundering slap delivered by her husband, Will Smith, to Chris Rock, who tried to make fun of Mrs.

Smith’s Alopecia condition. But other than all this Girls Trip star is a well-known actress among the masses. With her distinctive beauty, undeniable talent, and charismatic personality, she has garnered critical acclaim and a devoted fan base.

But little did anyone know that the Bad Moms star didn’t perceive herself as beautiful growing up. The prominent actress shared how Tom Cruise helped her to overcome this by making her accept compliments wholeheartedly.

Tom Cruise and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Hollywood Collaboration

Tom Cruise and Jada Pinkett Smith had the opportunity to work together in the past. In 2004 critically acclaimed film Collateral, directed and produced by Michael Mann, Cruise and Jamie Foxx took the lead roles while Pinkett Smith played a supporting character.

Their on-screen chemistry and shared dedication to their craft contributed to the success of the movie. Beyond their professional collaboration, Cruise and Pinkett Smith share a friendship that extends beyond their on-screen roles.

Tom Cruise Suggested Jada Pinkett Smith To Start Accepting Compliments

Jada Pinkett Smith shared in an interview how she tried to overcome the shadows of self-doubts. She emphasized the importance of examining the first thoughts of the day.  The Matrix Reloaded actress also encouraged women to challenge those inner negative voices and embrace their inherent worth.

“What is the first thing you say to yourself when you wake up in the morning and look in the mirror? Is it, ‘Oh, man, I look tired?’ Or is it, ‘You know what? Maybe I’m getting these wrinkles all over my face, but I’ll be god-damned if I’m not a bad chick!’ Women need to attack those negative voices they have in their head.”

Pinkett Smith recounted her struggle with the feeling of being unattractive during her growing age. Though her perspective on seeing herself shifted completely when she heard the Mission Impossible star’s advice to simply accept compliments.

“I used to believe I wasn’t pretty, because growing up, I was never told that I was. Actually, it was Tom Cruise who taught me how to get rid of those doubts. He said, ‘Every time I compliment you, you always reject it. You need to stop doing that. Just say, Thank you.’ So I’ve learned to accept a compliment.”

Tom Cruise’s insightful advice challenged the Gotham actress to confront her self-doubts and embrace self-acceptance. Pinkett Smith’s changed perspective continues to inspire her and others to embrace their true selves and find strength in self-acceptance.

That's precisely what Jamie Fraser, played by Sam Heughan, sets out to do at the beginning of Outlander season 7.

After narrowly avoiding being shipped back to Scotland during the season 6 finale, Jamie will stop at nothing to prevent Claire Fraser, depicted by Caitriona Balfe, from being hung for murder.

"We're happy to be back," Heughan told Gold Derby in June 2022, a few months after the cast had started shooting new episodes. "[Last season] was great and we're building on that.

Jamie is alive and on a mission to find [Claire]. That's where we pick up." From new cast members to major plot points, here's everything we know about Outlander season 7.

In true Outlander fashion, the season 6 finale had fans on the edge of their seats. The episode started with a bang — literally — as Claire and Jamie engaged in a shootout with Richard Brown's Committee of Safety.

The gunfight ensued after Jamie refused to hand Claire over to Brown, played by Chris Larkin, who is convinced that Sassenach murdered Malva Christie and her unborn baby.

Eventually, Jamie and Claire surrendered — agreeing to be judged for their alleged crimes in a court of law. The couple were later forcibly separated on the journey to Wilmington, North Carolina. Brown's orders were to put Jamie on a boat back to Scotland and to deliver Claire to Wilmington for a public hanging.

But thanks to John Bell's character, Ian Murray, and a few Cherokee Indians, Jamie was rescued from his captors. The final frame of the season shows the group bound for Wilmington on horseback.

The season will consist of 16 episodes and follow the events that transpired in An Echo in the Bone — the seventh installment in the Outlander book series by Diana Gabaldon. This means the American Revolution is in full swing.

"I can't get into the theme too much. I will say we've talked so much about the Revolution coming — it's like "winter is coming" in Game of Thrones. Next season, the Revolution is here. It's our biggest season yet," executive producer Maril Davis told Variety. "We're gonna straddle so many storylines and so much ground is covered in this season. Everyone goes on such a crazy arc this season."

In December 2022, Starz released a 35-second teaser filled with tiny sneak peeks at the upcoming season. The clip showed Claire with a noose around her neck; Brianna Randall Fraser, played by Sophie Skelton, giving birth to her second child; and a soldier tearing down a copy of The Declaration of Independence.

A few months later, the television network released a new opening titles sequence for season 7. As an updated rendition of "The Skye Boat Song" is sung by Sinéad O'Connor, one glaring detail is clear — the Revolutionary War has arrived.

Outlander wouldn't be the same without Jamie and Clarie Fraser, so fans can expect Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan to reprise their roles once again. The same goes for Brianna Randall Fraser, played by Sophie Skelton, and Richard Rankin's character, Roger Wakefield.

`

John Bell will return to play Ian Murray, who according to executive producer Maril Davis, has a "great storyline" in season 7. Viewers can also expect to see more of Lord John Grey, played by David Berry, and Tom Christie, depicted by Mark Lewis Jones.

There are a slew of actors joining the cast of Outlander in its seventh season, including Joey Phillips and Izzy Meikle-Small, who play siblings Denzell and Rachel Hunter, a pair of Quakers.

"Denzell has a real urge to join the continental army and serve as a surgeon. Rachel comes with me," Phillips said in a Starz exclusive clip. And according to Deadline, Rachel and Ian Murray engage in a romantic, yet complicated, relationship.

Charles Vandervaart will play Jamie Fraser's adult son, William Ransom, whom Lord John Grey raised. "The character of William Ransom is a wonderful role, and one fans have been eager to see.

Finding someone with the talent and physicality to play Jamie's son was a daunting task, but Charles' charisma was evident during the audition process and we are excited to see what he will bring to William's multi-layered journey," Davis told Deadline.

The outlet also announced that a few fan favorites from seasons past are making an appearance in season 7. Graham McTavish will return to play Jamie's uncle, Dougal MacKenzie, and Claire's fellow time traveler Geillis Duncan, played by Lotte Verbeek, will be wreaking some kind of havoc.

Season 7 is slated to premiere on June 16, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET. Viewers will be able to catch the first episode on demand at midnight ET. New episodes will be released every Friday, however, the 16-episode season will be split into two parts.

"220 shooting days, a whole year of Outlander," Heughan captioned a selfie with Balfe on Instagram. "THANK YOU to our amazing crew who have worked so hard and to our brilliant fans…we CANNOT WAIT for you to see season 7." In January 2023, Starz announced that season 8, which will consist of 10 episodes, is the final season of the series.

"For nearly a decade, Outlander has won the hearts of audiences worldwide and we're pleased to bring Claire and Jamie's epic love story to a proper conclusion," Kathryn Busby, president of original programming for STARZ, said in a statement.

"But before we close this chapter, there is plenty of their passionate story to tell over the course of 26 new episodes and even more to explore this dynamic world and its origin story."

They paired the announcement with the news of a spin-off series called Outlander: Blood of My Blood, a prequel series about Jamie Fraser's parents, Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie.

Sam Heughan goes to great lengths to win over a woman in his new romantic comedy Love Again. His character even seeks advice from pop icon Céline Dion.

In real life, he's also a "romantic at heart," he says in the new issue of PEOPLE. Asked about the craziest thing he's done in pursuit of love, Heughan replies, "I've done all of the gift-giving and turning up when least expected, but, so far, I'm still looking."

He certainly has no shortage of admirers. Heughan, who also appears as 18th-century Scottish warrior Jamie Fraser on Starz's popular time-hopping drama Outlander, has had fans in a frenzy since the show first premiered in 2014.

Heughan says through the years he's received marriage proposals, been ambushed while out at dinner and received intimate autograph requests. "I've signed a few body parts," he admits.

Not that he minds the enthusiasm. "Our fans have been so supportive for 10 years now," he says. "It's always nice to meet people. They're great."

The Scotland native is likely to gain more followers thanks to Love Again. He plays Rob, a cynical music journalist whose new cell phone has the reassigned phone number of a man who died two years prior.

That man's former girlfriend Mira (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) texts intimate thoughts to her late lover, and Rob — receiving the messages, unbeknownst to Mira — falls for her from afar.

While profiling Dion (who makes her acting debut playing herself) for an article, Rob asks her advice — and she shares anecdotes from her own love story with her late husband, talent manager René Angélil, who died in 2016. "God, it's so heartbreaking when she tells it," recalls Heughan.

Though the two share several scenes, they never actually filmed together during the COVID-era production, which was completed before her diagnosis with the debilitating disorder stiff person syndrome, a rare and incurable neurological disease that can cause debilitating muscle spasms.

Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from juicy celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

"We managed to make it work through the magic of the movies. And she's so good, she's such a professional, and I think those scenes are really important. There's a big bond between Rob and Céline by the end," says Heughan.

Dion recorded five new songs for the film, and her hits like "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" play in the movie too. Heughan is a particular fan of that single, and sang it during off-hours of filming in London when costar Chopra Jonas and her husband, Nick Jonas (who also has a hilarious cameo) would host the cast and crew at their house.

"We had great dinners and karaoke nights where we sang a lot of Céline, ate some amazing food," he says. Though Dion herself didn't join in the merriment, the cast has a deep affection for her nevertheless.

"She's gracious. She's funny. She didn't need to, but she gave us so much of her time," Chopra Jonas told PEOPLE at the May 3 premiere of Love Again in New York. "She's just a wonderful, wonderful person. I wish her so much love and luck, and I know she wanted to be here, but I'm just so happy she's part of this movie. She's such an integral part of it."

"If you're a Céline fan, you're going to love this," Heughan says of the movie. "And if you're not a Céline fan, you will be. It's very easy for anyone to relate to these characters. We all want to be touched by love."

Warning: Contains SPOILERS for the Station 19 season 6 finaleThe Station 19 season 6 finale featured a shocking death that could set up the return of a character in Station 19 season 7.

The Grey’s Anatomy spinoff was renewed for a season 7 with new co-showrunners, Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige, after Krista Vernoff stepped down from the position she held for four seasons. The Station 19 season 6 finale cliffhanger ending opens up the potential for many stories to be told, from Jack’s fate after he collapsed to whether Chief Ross will be able to keep her job.

The finale could also lead to the return of one character who left Station 19 a season prior. Throughout Station 19’s six seasons, there have been multiple characters who were killed off but only a few left the show while still alive, leaving the door open for them to return one day.

One of the major Station 19 characters killed off was Michael Dixon, a former fire chief and one of the show’s main antagonists, who died in the season 6 finale.

Dixon was a casualty of the floor collapsing at the Firefighter’s Ball after Travis was unable to save him, but their final conversation could lead to the return of another Station 19 character as he exits.

Emmett Dixon Could Return In Station 19 Season 7

As Dixon was dying in the Station 19 season 6 finale, he and Travis were able to have a truly pleasant conversation after seasons of antagonism between them.

While Travis and Dixon spent most of Station 19 season 6 as opposing mayoral candidates, they were first connected by Dixon’s son and Travis’s ex-boyfriend, Emmett. Dixon even surprisingly told Travis that “of all the boys Emmett brought home, [Travis] was always [his] favorite.”

It was a sweet moment that gave Travis and Dixon closure and showed some of Dixon’s humanity before he passed, but it also set up Emmett potentially returning in Station 19 season 7. Emmett left Station 19 in season 5 after his breakup with Travis to travel the world, and in his dying moments, Dixon confirmed that his son is currently in Europe.

However, with his father dying, it’s likely that Emmett will be returning in Station 19 season 7, even if it’s just temporarily to attend his father’s funeral and visit his mom. Dixon and Emmett had a complicated relationship,

with Dixon never seeming to be able to fully accept his son’s sexuality, but if Travis were to share his and Dixon’s final words with Emmett, it could bring him some of the peace and healing he’s been looking for.

While Emmett’s return in Station 19 season 7 could be a short one to tie up Dixon’s story, and maybe even his and Travis’s, the expansion of Crisis One and the Dean Miller Memorial Clinic could see Emmett working at the station in a different capacity.

Emmett was never fully interested in being a firefighter, and only took on the job because of his dad’s history as fire chief. When he finally came out to Dixon and quit, he turned his focus to doing contract tracing at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, showing his interest in the healthcare field, which could make him a great fit at the station’s clinic.

In addition to this, Emmett also became a civilian assistant with the Crisis One program. Station 19 season 6’s mental health focus made Crisis One a much bigger story, which will likely only continue in season 7 now that Dixon’s gone, Osman is mayor, and Andy is captain.

Emmett returning in Station 19 season 7 and working alongside Vic to build and grow Crisis One would help further an important storyline and would be a fitting return for his character.

With so many installments released over 30 years — some of them titled inconsistently or inaccurately defined — the proper viewing order for the Friday the 13th movies can be confusing.

The iconic horror franchise began in 1980, expanding the popularity of the slasher genre. Since then, the movies have ventured into more supernatural territory and even gone to outer space. Initially, Friday the 13th wasn't even focused on its iconic villain, Jason Voorhees, a nearly immortal serial killer hellbent on taking his wrath out on teenagers.

The Friday the 13th franchise consists of 12 official feature films, including its reboot. Looking over these movies, confusion over their viewing order may stem from a number of reasons: one installment in the middle of the series claims to be the last one,

some movies use numbers while others don't, and there's the unclear placement of a crossover between the Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street franchises. Viewers looking to watch all the Friday the 13th movies in order could do so by their release dates, but the better progression is chronologically within the franchise.

Friday the 13th (1980)

As the originator of the franchise, the 1980 version of Friday the 13th starts off the viewing order. Its plot focuses on the attempted reopening of Camp Crystal Lake many years after a horrible accident, as the new counselors are stalked and murdered by a masked individual.

The original broke a social norm by showing gory murders of teenagers, and this choice influenced the slasher genre as a whole. In one memorable moment, an old man warns about Crystal Lake, "You're doomed if you stay here. This place is cursed. Cursed! It's got a death curse!" This set the stage for the franchise and its primary fixed location going forward.

Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)

Released just one year after the original, Friday the 13th Part 2 comes second in chronological order for the franchise. Set five years after the events of Friday the 13th, the sequel sees a new camp preparing to open next to the infamous Camp Crystal Lake.

Though the original started the legacy, Friday the 13th Part 2 began the murderous reign of Jason Voorhees, the primary antagonist of the series going forward. It also upped the number of thrills and jump scares, a staple in the franchise, while continuing the use of the final girl trope.

Friday the 13th Part III (1982)

The plot of Friday the 13th Part III immediately follows the events of Friday the 13th Part 2. The day after his murders at Crystal Lake in that first sequel, Jason goes after teenagers staying in a cabin nearby. During his rampage, Jason wears his famous hockey mask for the first time.

This cements him as one of the most menacing slasher villains. Given its significance within the franchise due to its tone, its kills, its simple story, and Jason's change in appearance, Friday the 13th Part III is an underrated sequel, despite the movie holding a 7% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984)

Jason comes through a door and approaches a knife-wielding young woman in Friday the 13th The Final Chapter Despite the missing number in the title, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter falls fourth in the franchise movies in both release and chronological order. In this film, Jason comes back to life, breaks out of the morgue, and heads back to Crystal Lake.

He decides to take his rage out on a group of teens renting a lake house. However, he faces more of a fight this time. Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter started the pattern that Jason never dies. This amplifies Jason Voorhees to an almost godlike status.

Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985)

Friday the 13th: A New Beginning also followed the pattern of leaving out numbers, but it's the fifth installment in the franchise order. This sequel centers on the aftermath of Tommy and Jason's fight in the previous film.

Now a teenager, Tommy lives with post-traumatic stress disorder, and when a person wearing the hockey mask starts killing again, he must face the re-traumatization caused by these events. Friday the 13th: A New Beginning visually presents heavy topics like trauma nightmares and substance use disorder.

Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986)

Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives continues the story of Tommy, who unintentionally brings Jason back to life. The masked killer then heads back to Crystal Lake for another killing spree. Tommy must face the source of his trauma to help bring an end to Jason.

Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives reinforces the notion that Jason can never die, as he's once again resurrected through supernatural means. The tone shifts from frightening to haunting since it's not established what other supernatural powers Jason might have.

Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988)

After the heaviness of A New Beginning and Jason Lives, the underrated sequel Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood offers levity to the franchise at the midpoint of its viewing order. During Friday the 13th Part VII:

The New Blood, a telekinetic teenager goes to Crystal Lake to mourn her deceased father. While attempting to bring him back, she accidentally resurfaces Jason Voorhees, and the two must face off. This film allows the series to poke fun at itself. It brings self-awareness to the idea that Jason never dies, and this meta-humor expanded the franchise's limits to include more absurd concepts.

Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989)

Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan plays like a parody of the franchise. After the events of the previous film, Jason gets revived again and then takes over a cruise boat full of high school seniors headed for New York City.

The most memorable scene from the sequel involves Jason chasing teens through Times Square. Unfortunately, this is the extent of his "taking Manhattan" in the film, which sees him spend almost all of his time on a boat instead of in New York City. Still, the imaginative film broke out of the franchise's core location, allowing the audience to see Jason in a different setting.

Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993)

While it doesn't include the franchise in the title let alone a number, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday comes ninth in the Friday the 13th movies viewing order. After getting their attention in Manhattan in the previous installment, here the FBI sets a trap for Jason.

He gets captured and decimated, but his beating heart allows him to take over others, and he attempts to revive his nearly indestructible body throughout the film. Astute horror fans will notice an appearance from the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis from the Evil Dead series, which explains why the Friday the 13th villain never dies: Jason is a demonic being called a Deadite.

Freddy vs. Jason (2003)

The end of Jason Goes to Hell teased this crossover, which took a decade to come to fruition. In chronological order, the plot of Freddy vs. Jason takes place before the events of Jason X, despite it being released after.

The mashup sees the villains from A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th team up, as Freddy Krueger uses his supernatural powers to reawaken Jason and increase fear, which gives him the strength to kill kids again. But the two realize there can only be one killer on the loose. Freddy vs. Jason doesn't progress Jason's story in any way other than bringing him back to life again.

Jason X (2002)

After Freddy vs. Jason, Jason X falls chronologically 11th in the viewing order for the Friday the 13th movies. After Jason is cryogenically frozen, a group of teenagers accidentally reawaken him on Earth II in the year 2455.

He begins attacking the teens, their professor, and an android. Then, he becomes "Uber Jason," a cyborg, with Jason's appearance changing from his beloved hockey mask and neutral-toned clothing to metallic armor. Jason X is more of a sci-fi B movie than a major sequel in a slasher franchise. As a result, the movie only holds a 19% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Friday the 13th 2009

After the disappointment of Jason X, producers decided the franchise needed a fresh start. Though it is considered a reboot, the 2009 version of Friday the 13th is still the 12th installment in chronological viewing order. After a prologue set in the 1980s, the movie brings a new set of teenagers to Crystal Lake in the present day.

As these college kids party in the woods, Jason Voorhees takes them out one by one. The reboot scraps the absurdist tone of later installments, aiming to recapture the magic of the original, and it succeeds in providing the murder, gore, and slashing expected of the Friday the 13th franchise.

Over 20 years after first meeting Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel in Gilmore Girls, fans still can’t get enough of the series, the actresses, and their characters.

The series features the beloved duo as the inseparable (well, until season 6, but let’s not talk about that right now) mother and daughter pair Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. Only 16 years apart, these Gilmore girls are more like best friends, and it’s a relationship viewers adore.

Since the ending of the original series on The CW in 2007, Gilmore Girls has continued to endure and stand the test of time, thanks to its accessibility on Netflix and timeless quality. The cast even reunited in 2016 for a four-part revival — with a very polarizing ending.

But how close of a friendship do Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel have in real life? Here’s what fans need to know about their bond outside of Stars Hollow.

Lauren Graham - Alexis Bledel

Are Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel still friends?

Although Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel played best friends on-screen as mother-daughter duo Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, it seems their close bond on Gilmore Girls hasn’t translated to a best friendship off-screen. Graham and Bledel might not be super-tight in real life, but yes, of course, they are still friends and supportive of each other.

In the recent past, before reuniting to film and promote Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life for Netflix, Graham and Bledel had gotten together for lunch to catch up. Graham noted that she and her first television daughter would always share a “special bond.” How could you not after making over 100 episodes of a beloved show side-by-side for seven years!

In 2017, after the 2016 release of the Gilmore Girls revival miniseries, Lauren Graham took to Twitter to celebrate Alexis Bledel’s Emmy Award win for The Handmaid’s Tale. “THIS IS SO AWESOME. Congratulations and love!” Graham wrote to her TV daughter.

It’s also worth mentioning that both stars are private. Bledel isn’t even on social media! Therefore, it’s nearly impossible to know the depths of their friendship and how often they keep in touch, unless they are asked about it in interviews or are publicly in the same space. And now as a mother, it’s understandable that Bledel would keep her personal life separate from her work.

Graham appears to be much closer with her Parenthood children and co-stars Mae Whitman and Miles Heizer and her Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist co-star Jane Levy. Whitman shared a birthday celebration for Graham on March 17, 2023 featuring the pair embracing and eating treats, with a glimpse of Heizer in the background. Lauren Graham is truly the ultimate TV mom!

Gigi Hadid and Leonardo DiCaprio still have feelings for each other despite their alleged breakup, revealed source.

However, the supermodel and the The Wolf of Wall Street star desire different things from relationship.

An insider spilt to Us Weekly that while Hadid is looking for a serious long term relationship, DiCaprio is not ready to settle down.

“Leo and Gigi are into each other,” an insider told the outlet after DiCaprio and Hadid were spotted spending time at an Oscars after party recently.

“Gigi isn’t looking for a quick fling,” the insider said before adding that she and DiCaprio have very different hopes from their relationships.

While the model “wants substance,” she’s “torn because she has a lot of fun with Leo,” the source shared. “And while everyone hopes Leo will eventually settle down, everyone knows his past.”

DiCaprio and Hadid attended Darren Dzienciol and Richie Akiva’s Annual Pre-Oscars Party where the actor was seen talking to the model.

“Leo was only flirting with Gigi and only had eyes for her,” an eyewitness told the outlet following the bash.

The duo sparked romance rumours after they were spotted hanging out during New York Fashion Week in 2022. However, their alleged relationship ended in February 2023.

After their breakup, a source said their romance was “never that serious,” allegedly because of their hectic work schedules.

“They both have incredibly busy careers and lives, and although they tried to make time for each other, it really wasn’t enough to make things work,” the source said.

“Gigi has no hard feelings toward Leo and she thinks he’s an incredible guy. Their timing just couldn’t align, and they’ve decided to go their separate ways.”
